Colnago CLX

Building on Colnago's experience V1-r race bike (produced in collaboration with Ferrari), the CLX features oblique, oversized tube shapes that embrace an oversized bottom bracket area (featuring the new Colnago ThreadFit82.5 system) and a conical seat tube for use with a new lighter and more comfortable 27.2mm diameter seat post.
Something that makes the CLX appeal to a wider audience is the fork. A carbon fiber monocoque design with straight blades, the conical crown-race, made of carbon fiber, allows you to mount spacers up to a maximum of 28mm stack-height. This aids in obtaining more positions for a greater number of riders. Durability and safety are enhanced thanks to the fork’s aluminium dropouts.

FORK

The CLX fork is a carbon fiber monocoque design with straight blades. The base measures 1-1/4”, while the top is 1-1/8”.

BRAKES

The braking system on the new ClX is a traditional, center-mount type – centrally mounted on the front of the fork.

SEATPOST

The CLX  seatpost is made of carbon fiber with a light alloy head. The diameter measures 27.2mm – smaller and lighter than an oversized 31.6mm.

BOTTOM BRACKET

The Colnago ThreadFit82.5 bottom bracket system, the same used for the C60 and V1-r, is what you’ll find on the new CLX.

DROPOUTS

A high-value option – the new CLX dropouts are a carbon fiber monocoque design, with a replaceable (internal) derailleur hanger.
