Perth's Best Cycling Routes

Perth Hills Loop (75.6 mi / 121.7 km)

While we naturally associate Perth with long sandy beach rides and scenic riverside riding, there are great hills to the south-east that will test your legs and offer a different perspective on the West Australian capital.

At 121.74km in length and with 1,937m of elevation gained this ride typically takes 5-6 hours, depending on the number of photo opportunities you feel the need to capture.

Strava Segment of Note = ATTA CANNING MILLS HILL CLIMB

Ben O'Connor's 7.44 minutes for the 2.82km/8% ATTA segment was set on Australia Day 2016. Ben's effort is a worthy owner of this segment. Ben is currently riding with Team Dimension Data follow him at @ben_oconnor95.

Perth Swan River Loop and Fremantle

The river loop is the must do ride when you visit Perth. We have added a little flyer out to Fremantle - Perth's must-see harbourside suburb which contains many great cafes if you want to stop for a few photos and a great coffee.

Strava Segment of Note = Canning Bridge to Narrows

Occupying a prime stretch of riverfront property, this segment of 4.18km at 0% is owned by Graeme Brown at 4.32m or 55.4kmph. The impressive effort has stood since Sept 26 2015. Graeme is an ex World Tour pro, best known for the many years he spent with the Dutch Robo Bank team.
